Columbus Urban League Young Professionals and Growing and Growth Collective Present: Cooking For Funds. A cooking class that embraces the African Diaspora and raises scholarship funds for high school and college students within Columbus, Ohio.

Join the YP’s as we service the community with Blankets For The Homeless before the Super Bowl. We will meet at the Main Library campus in meeting room 1C to pass out blankets and sandwiches to individuals in the area at the time. It is a mix of inside and outside service, weather permitting.

TOPIC: October 26th - Allies, Opponents, and Decision Makers OBJECTIVES: Participants will learn the tools to identify who can give them information about their topic, and who has power and influence in community decision-making.
TOPIC: November 3rd - Advocacy, Activism, and Education OBJECTIVES: Participants coached on different forms of action for civic engagement, and think about how those forms of action fit within the larger social action landscape. Learn differences between a recommendation and an action. Learn the positions to create a movement and tools needed to take action.

We're thrilled to announce our upcoming 'Back to School Health and Resource Fair' presented by Columbus Urban League Young Professionals and Treats 4 the Streets ! Join us on August 26th from 2:00-4:00 pm at 788 Mt. Vernon Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43203.
