About the Change for Change High School Scholarship
The Columbus Urban League Young Professionals (CULYP) is committed to supporting outstanding young leaders in their academic and professional journeys. Through the Change for Change Scholarship, we aim to foster leadership development, academic achievement, and community engagement among students in Central Ohio.

π The Boat House at Confluence Park | 679 W Spring St, Columbus, OH
The selected student and up to two family members will be invited as honored guests to attend the Gala.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, students must:
Be a high school senior from Columbus, OH or the surrounding area.
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Demonstrate leadership potential through extracurriculars or community service.
Show a commitment to community engagement and social impact.
(Optional) Provide documentation of financial need.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
All required application information (listed below: Full Name, Address, Email Address, etc.)
All required supporting documents as outlined in the application details below.
Admission letter from chosen college, university, trade, or vocational school.
Applicants should indicate their intent to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, vocational, or trade program) upon graduation.
(Students who have not yet received acceptance letters may still apply. Proof of enrollment or admission will be required before scholarship funds are disbursed.)
Resume or CV (including leadership and community involvement).
Personal statement (max 500 words) describing:
Academic and career goals
Leadership experience
Community service commitment
How this scholarship will support your journey
(Optional) Documentation demonstrating financial need.

Selection Process
Recipients will be selected based on academic performance, leadership potential, and community service commitment.
The Selection Committeeβcomprised of CULYP members and community leaders will review all applications.
The recipient will be notified by December 6, 2025 and invited to attend the Gala for recognition in the Spring.
